"Killers" is the upcoming action comedy feature starring Katherine Heigl and the over-exposed Ashton Kutcher, set for North American release June 4, 2010.
Directed by Robert Luketic, premise of "Killers" follows 'Jennifer Kornfeldt (Heigl) who meets 'Spencer' while on vacation with her parents. The two soon fall in love and continue their relationship back home, rushing into a quick marriage. Jen thinks she has found the perfect man, but doesn't know Spencer actually works for the CIA (yawn) and often spends his days chasing criminals. Their life is about to take a turn for worse when they discover one of their friends is actually contracted to kill the couple.

I don't think there is anything that could keep Ashton Kutcher down, or out, or away from the world of crappy romcoms. It doesn't matter if they're successful or a mess, he just keeps getting more and more. (Oh, the power of the producer!) After being the main, flower-centric dude of Valentine's Day, we've got Killers on the way with Katherine Heigl, and now, Variety reports that he's gearing up for romcom currently titled Friends with Benefits. (No link to this 2006 project.)
Ivan Reitman will jump behind the camera for his first feature since My Super Ex-Girlfriend (Ghostbusters III aside), and Natalie Portman will co-star. Written by Elizabeth Meriwether, the plot is under wraps, but "generally revolves around the ease with which men and women become sexually involved, but have a far more difficult time establishing emotional bonds." Reitman says: "It's an issue ripe for discussion."

It’s been an especially busy week so far for already prolific writer/producer Akiva Goldsman, who was rumoured to be directing Paranormal Activity 2, then definitely not. Now it appears his film directing debut will happen with a different genre – action movies – and Fox’s Man And Wife in particular. The script, which the studio snapped up as a spec a couple of years ago, doesn’t exactly have the freshest concept in this post True Lies/Mr & Mrs Smith world: we follow a seemingly everyday husband who is actually a professional killer and what happens to both sides of his life when his wife begins to suspect something. And the idea is even now about to hit our screens again, since it’s very similar to the basic concept for the Ashton Kutcher/Katherine Heigl action comedy Killers. Sounds like Goldsman will have to go some to make it feel fresh, »

Lionsgate has debuted two new posters for the upcoming romantic comedy, Killers, featuring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl.
Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher) is just your average, undercover, government-hired super-assassin accustomed to a life of exotic European locales, flashy sports cars and even flashier women. But when he meets Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl), a beautiful, fun-loving computer tech recovering from a bad break-up, he finds true love…and happily trades international intrigue for domestic bliss.
Three years later, Spencer and Jen are still enjoying a picture-perfect marriage – that is, until the morning after Spencer’s 30th birthday. That’s when Spencer and Jen learn he’s the target of a multi-million dollar hit. Even worse, the hired killers have been stalking the happy couple for years, and could be anyone: friends, neighbors, the grocery store clerk, even that crabby old guy shuffling across the street.
Now Spencer and Jen are on the run for their lives. »

Not to be confused with that other movie in which a famous actor lures a famous actress into the life of a spy, comes Killers in which Ashton Kutcher does the same to Katherine Heigl. Their movie may not be particularly original, but they seem intent on looking cool while they do it. We have the first two teaser posters for Killers below. It.s all about the sunglasses and, for some reason, Katherine Heigl has stolen Columbo.s coat. Take a look: »

Following up the trailer, Lionsgate has released the first two official posters for Killers. I'm sure you can guess which two characters are featured.
Killers Posters
As expected, the first two posters, character posters I should say, contain Ashton Kutcher, whose character is described as both the perfect husband and perfect target, and Katherine Heigl, who also happens to be the perfect target. Uh, why her? Guess will have to find out come June 4th. »

Lionsgate just released the first 2 posters for this new thriller starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. The film is called Killers, follows a hitman (Kutcher) at the top of his game who falls for a computer tech (Heigl) and decides to hang up his guns.
Years later, their suburban bliss is ruptured when he finds out there’s a hit out on him, forcing him and his spooked wife to go on the run. Tom Selleck and Catherine O’Hara will play Heigl’s overprotective father and adoring mother. Martin Mull will play Holbrook, Kutcher’s handler. The film is being directed by Robert Luketic and will be released June 4.
I am told this is a thriller yet the posters make it seem sort of comical thus I am slightly confused about this movie. The premise sounds cool though sort of Grosse Pointe Blank meets Mr. And Mrs. Smith.

Enjoying a leisurely afternoon outing, Katherine Heigl was spotted heading out for some lunch in Los Feliz, California on Monday (March 15). Showing off her recently-dyed brunette locks, the Izzie Stevens actress was joined by a male pal as the twosome ventured over to Little Dom's restaurant. The sighting comes shortly after rumors surfaced claiming that Miss Heigl is trying to get out of her "Grey's Anatomy" contract - though nothing final has been announced. Meanwhile, Katherine is looking forward to the June 4th release of her new movie, "Killers," which co-stars Ashton Kutcher. A synopsis of the adventure/comedy via IMDb tells: "A vacationing woman meets her ideal man, leading to a swift marriage. Back at home, however, their idyllic life is upset when they discover their neighbors could be assassins who have been contracted to kill the couple." »

No one really thinks Katherine Heigl is coming around Seattle Grace anymore. ABC and the rest of the folks at Grey's Anatomy aren't commenting, but we all know she has wanted out for years to explore the greener pastures of the big screen. But while she may have 27 or so dresses from her various premieres, the ugly truth might just not knock her stardom out of the park. Just take a look at the trailer for Killers, which comes out June 4. In it, she and Ashton Kutcher start dating, but it turns out he's some sort of assassin, and the blond beauty gets stuck in the middle of it and has to start packin' herself. Last night, Ausiello broke the news that Katherine Heigl will likely not return to Grey's Anatomy. It won't be a difficult adjustment. Dr. Izzie Stevens -- who has been on a leave of absence for more than half of this season -- is already out of Grey's viewers' minds, and even though her character's plotlines have been some of the show's most ludicrous, her actual exit was one long yawn. (Or maybe one of those weird "unpredictable" yawns with the multiple short spurts, if you consider Heigl's history of tension with showrunners.) Grey's fans may be sorry Heigl won't be back, »

Katherine Heigl is getting closer and to closer to be discharged from "Grey's Annatomy". According to Entertainment Weekly, series creator Shonda Rhimes has agreed to release the actress who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the show from her contract, and a final exit agreement is being discussed by ABC and her representatives.
After taking three months of absence to connect with her adopted daughter as well as to focus on her film career, the 31-year-old was actually scheduled to make her return to the series' set on March 1 to work on the five remaining episodes of the season. However, when the date came around, she wasn't present on the set.
A source detailed that sometime last week, both the network and Heigl has come to a mutual decision to part ways right now instead of at the end of the season. Should the claim is true, the star of "The Ugly Truth »

It's that time of year: "Grey's Anatomy" is nearing the end of its production schedule, which means that it's time for a fresh round of speculation that Katherine Heigl's time on the show is coming to an end.
This time, though, there may be more to it than just talk. Zap2it has learned that Heigl, who had been on maternity leave and was due to return to filming on March 1, has not been on set this month. Heigl's character, Izzie Stevens, was last seen on the show on Jan. 21; that was a one-episode shot after Heigl took time off in the fall to work on a film.
Zap2it contacted ABC Studios about Heigl's status; a rep said, "We have no comment."

Words on the block are, Katherine Heigl and her Dr. Izzie Stevens will no longer be part of "Grey's Anatomy". The actress who took a three-month maternity leave was supposed to report back to duty on March 1 but she reportedly "was not there".
On further development, it is said that Heigl would like to be off her contract so that she can concentrate on her film career. EW reported that a final exit agreement between Heigl's camp and ABC Studios is underway. Creator Shonda Rhimes allegedly has also agreed to this release. If the deal goes through then the last appearance of Heigl's Izzie has already aired.
ABC is yet to give a comment on this, so is Rhimes. The show is five episodes away from the season finale. "I know I've been Awol for the past few weeks. I'm in the midst of writing one finale and planning the other finale, »
