A "big" movie with Moodysson's style intact, 20 January 2009
7/10
Author: Alexander Lisinski from Sweden

Having seen most of his work, you can really recognize a Moodysson movie by its intimacy, its details and the complex characters, reflecting how the world is big yet small, sad yet full of joy and contemplating about what a family really is made of. Mammoth shows personal life in a big perspective, a "butterfly effect", revolving around parents' love for their children and the sadness their separation causes. The dialogue carries much symbolism, and using the whole world as his scene the director shows us how everything is tied together.

Definitely Moodysson's best effort yet, Gael Garcia Bernal knows to choose good movies to star.
