• Anachronisms: The trams presented in the movie came into service in late 90's, the older trams although of the same shape had half-sliding doors, and central command.
  
  
• Anachronisms: When Bebe takes Otilia on the detour to his neighborhood you can see a few Dacia cars with rear and front bumpers. These were only introduced in 1994. The mirror model mounted on Bebe's car is also built after 1990.
  
  
• Anachronisms: Gabita's dorm room contains a poster depicting Kirsten Dunst in _The Virgin Suicides (1999)_, released twelve years after when the film takes place.
  
  

• Revealing mistakes: Otilia asked to buy Orange Tic Tacs, but the ones she was given were clearly red (cinnamon flavored).
