The audience is paid minimum wage to be there for 9+ hours without food or water or bathroom break while they shoot 6 shows in a row. No one in the audience laughs because it is a miserable experience but lots do it because they have no other means of income. There's this idiotic warm up guy that everyone hates who prompts everyone to stand and clap and laugh on queue. And that's in between all the lame and dirty jokes he throws out. And since it's six taping he would use the same ones over and over again. The audience is herded around like sheep. The sequence is staged with people laughing. They are not really laughing but some audio device that plays the sound. You never see a shot of the audience laughing to the comic's jokes. You only hear them while the shot is still on the comics. Lastly. there is always one of those hip hop loser DJ with dumb names like DJ Cobra. I almost committed suicide because of this.
