Jonas Brothers Playing Multiple Characters in 'Lovebug' Music Video

9 October 2008 7:31 PM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Pop/rock band Jonas Brothers are captured playing multiple characters, including members of a ballroom band with their retro looks in a music video in support of their second single "Lovebug". Directed Philip Andelman, the video co-stars Camilla Belle of "10,000 B.C." and Joshua Boswell.

Speaking further about the video, the band reveal that Nick Cassavetes' 2004 romance film titled "The Notebook" becomes their inspiration for the music video. They also say that a sweeping dance number, vintage wardrobes, and cars have brought their vision to life. "We had a very specific vision," Kevin Jonas states. "You're part of a world that you wish you could be a part of and that's not around any more."

Meanwhile, the video itself mainly tells about the story of a young woman and a soldier who will be sent to war. It is scheduled to be premiered on October 19 at 8:55 P.M.

She has since become a phenomenon, starring in a number of TV projects and endorsing some commercials. Having numerous projects in the pipeline, she is reported to have earned a whopping $18.2 million in 2007, leading to further prediction she is on her way to become a teenaged billionaire.

Cyrus Angers Locals With Sweet Sixteen Disney Party

7 October 2008 5:02 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Teen sensation Miley Cyrus angered several residents close to Disneyland when fireworks were let off late in to the night at her Sweet Sixteen party in California.

The Hannah Montana star doesn't turn 16 until 23 November, but Disney bosses threw a special bash for her at the theme park on Sunday, closing it to the public for the day.

The big event, which was attended by former supermodels Tyra Banks and Cindy Crawford, and actresses Jennifer Love Hewitt and Demi Lovato, culminated in a lavish fireworks display above Sleeping Beauty Castle.

But residents were left fuming when the noise went on past 11.30pm on Sunday night.

And one has reportedly vented his fury in an email to gossip columnist Perez Hilton. It reads: "as u probably know the fireworks at disneyland go off at 9:30 on most nights. apparently when u get tons of money for a private paty (sic) u get fireworks at 11:30 pm. on a sunday!

"We thought an explosion went off over there! (we live real close) when the fireworks go off normally they always start small and then esclate (sic). last night it was just Boom Boom! and it was very late. most people im sure were in bed getting ready for a tedious work week to try to pay off a home that they may lose, but not miley. she got a fourth of July worthy fireworks show and so did thousands of anaheim residents who had no idea it was coming."

Discuss: Is Roku's Netflix Player Tempting You Yet?

2 October 2008 1:02 PM, PDT | From Cinematical.com | See recent Cinematical news

You might recall that I bought a Roku player a few months ago to make it easier for me to watch high-quality versions of Netflix's Watch Instantly offerings. My biggest complaint about Roku and Watch Instantly was that the selection was pretty slim -- mostly we've used it to watch old TV shows, and even then I suspect we watch more TV on Hulu.com. Watch Instantly has a great selection of low-budget independent features and documentaries, and even some short films, but if you want Hollywood blockbusters you're better off with the DVDs.

Fortunately, the Watch Instantly pickings are starting to improve. Netflix has just partnered with Starz Entertainment to offer more than 1,000 movies that Starz has licensed for its own video-on-demand services. Starz already has deals with Disney and Sony, so these movies include a lot of (relatively) newer Hollywood big-budget films, like Ratatouille, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, No Country for Old Men,

Cinematical has just received this exclusive poster for Disney's Bolt, which boasts a voice cast that includes John Travolta and some girl named Miley Cyrus (maybe you've heard of her; looks a little like that other girl Hannah Montana ...). The flick, which will be presented in fully awesome Disney Digital 3D, tells of a heroic dog (Travolta) on a hit TV show who really believes he has superpowers. A nice reality check comes when he's accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City (aka the real world) and has to somehow make his way back home with help from an old cat and an overweight hamster.

Written by Dan Fogelman (Cars, Fred Claus), Bolt looks to continue Disney's successful run in the Digital 3D business, joining other films like Meet the Robinsons and the Hannah Montana Concert Tour. It's fun, charming ... and who doesn't love

Miley Cyrus: All Grown Up And Crying

17 September 2008 6:26 AM, PDT | From cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news

Nicholas Sparks has been a scourge on Hollywood for a long time, forcing otherwise talented actors and actresses to weep and wail in hokey adaptations of his novels like A Walk to Remember and The Notebook. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, apparently, as Mandy Moore, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams and all the rest have gone on to have reasonable careers, despite participating in the madness. The next to join the misty-eyed crew will be Miley Cyrus, who is soooo special she has Sparks adapting his upcoming novel specifically for the the artist also known as Hannah Montana. A Walk to Remember was specifically cited by the movie's producer, Jennifer Gibgot, in Variety, given that it was the movie that transformed Mandy Moore from pop princess to fairly respected actress. According to Variety, Sparks is currently writing an untitled novel that he is also simultaneously adapting for the big screen. The book will hit stores in fall 2009.

"This is similar to the way it’s gone with movies based on my novels; it’s just out of order," Sparks told Variety. He said Cyrus is quite familiar with his past work, which helped in putting this project together.
