The Women is based on a play written in 1936 by American writer Clare Boothe Luce [1903-1987]. The play was made into a movie, also titled The Women, in 1939.
There are no male actors listed in the cast, and the original 1936 version of The Women had no male actors, so it is likely that this version will be an all-female cast, too. However, it is said that the extras used for the baby character in the final season are in fact male.
