Excellent movie full of action, humor, and even some serious ties to Faith

This truly was a really great feature film in every respect. The plot twists and turns in many unpredictable ways. I'm trying to write this without spoilers so it very much limits what I can say but let me state that I usually do not like horror/thriller type movies like this but the writing and acting is so unusually good for this movie that I couldn't help but really walk away from it thinking it served more than to simply entertain my feeble mind. There's a nice religious undertone to the movie that really hit home with me and it would do the movie a disservice not to mention that. The action sequences in the movie are all pretty high energy and there were plenty of scenes that just had the whole audience just cheer out.

I got to see this on June 11th in Atlanta as part of the Atlanta Film Festival held at Georgia State University. Since this movie was filmed in the Atlanta area and used many actors from Georgia it was nice to see so many of the main people involved in the film show up at this first showing of the movie back where it was made. In fact the gentleman whom introduced the movie from the Atlanta Film Festivle stated that "The Other Side" was the first movie they purposefully went after for the event. They saw it at one of the other film festivals and realized just how good it was.

What to expect? You should expect an unusually very well conceived plot. Tons of action, serious drama, and some really good comedic moments as well. Will it scare you? It didn't really scare me at all but I wasn't looking to be scared anyway. It did get a nice jump right at the opening of the movie though and I was just glued to this film the entire time. IF this ever comes to DVD or it gets the proper release in the theaters like it deserves see it. If this is your genre expect a little more than what you are used to from similar sounding movies.
