Terrible host, awkward skits and hopelessly dull talk show, 15 December 2006

The thing about Carson Daly is that I, and probably many others, don't know how or why he is famous at all. He was the host of Total Request Live on MTV a few years ago and now he's 'hit the big time' by hosting his own celebrity talk show. Many of his guests are much more unknown than those of the other talk shows. However, this probably wouldn't even matter if Carson could actually interview in a way that wasn't either a)rude b)annoying c)boring. If we don't know who that person is, he should let us get to know him or her. Unfortunately he is often rude and interrupts the guest while he or she is talking. He also makes fun of his guests, even though they are most likely more liked and popular (and with more dignity) than he.

This show's only positive factor are the underground bands they showcase as musical guests. I don't really like when too many mainstream (and ear-splitting) bands are guests on talk shows i watch and this show has some nice bands every once in a while. This doesn't save the show though. In the end, Carson needs to find his own personality and not try and copy traits of other talk show hosts(whom i won't name). He may be a nice guy, but it doesn't really show.
