Shows a romantic world as it used to be the 1920's Plovdiv city, 8 October 2001
Author: larry (larry790921@yahoo.com) from Sofia
The old Plovdiv town in the beginning of the century - picturesque picture of the small streets and all communities living there - orthodox, Jews and Muslims - their little quarrels, differences, but above all how they manage to live together. Then half a century later a meeting - boy and girl from the old city, accidentally sitting together in a plane decide to come back to explore the world of their childhood, to meet the dream they used to live in.
a plea for tolerance, 6 October 2008

Author: tatianafilm from Bulgaria
A plea for racial and religious tolerance that is both human and affecting.Nichev's internationally acclaimed film crosses between present days and the nostalgically remembered past.In the city of Plovdiv at the time early forties when countries various ethnic communities Orthodox,Jews and Muslems lived in harmony together. Here a Jewish academic revisits the town of his birth in 40 years.Generous is the tone of this film. Rigorously unsentimental this is a beautifully produced feature so
magnificent crafted director's work undoubted the highlight of the new Bulgarian cinema.
