Real estate mogul Donald Trump has lashed out at Anne Hathaway, claiming the actress was only with alleged conman Raffaello Follieri for his money.
The Devil Wears Prada star is said to have broken up with the Italian businessman earlier this month, shortly before he was arrested on suspicion of fraud.
And Trump insists Hathaway should have remained by the businessman's side throughout his legal ordeal.
In a statement issued by his publicist to ABCNews.com, Trump says: "After (his legal troubles) she was gone ...and fast! Sadly, that seems to be the way life works."
In an interview with Access Hollywood, he added: "She hasn't remained very loyal to him, has she? So when he had plenty of money, she liked him, but then after that, not as good, right?"
Hathaway's representative was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.

Juno star Jason Bateman has defended the Oscar-winning movie against claims it has encouraged teenage girls to get pregnant.
The film, which stars Canadian actress Ellen Page, focuses on the story of a 16-year-old girl who, after discovering she is pregnant, decides to give the child up for adoption.
But the movie, which won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, has come under fire from officials in Massachusetts - with schools blaming the picture for the recent rise in teen pregnancies, labelling the trend "The Juno Effect".
Bateman has now hit back at the criticism, insisting Hollywood should not be blamed for social problems in America.
He tells Access Hollywood, "I don't know the specifics, but I can speak about what sort of responsibility entertainment should hold for social behaviour.
"Unfortunately, we've had these instances where guys kill people because of what they hear in rock 'n roll lyrics or some garbage like that. Look, if you're going to blame a movie or song for your actions, whether they be good or bad, I think you're looking at the wrong things to influence your life.
"What we're doing is providing entertainment in different flavours for your consumption. I think people should look to other areas of their life for lessons and guidance, mainly parents, or teachers, or friends, or whomever. That should probably be where you should point your eyes and ears."

Former model Christie Brinkley will fight her divorce from estranged husband Peter Cook in public after a New York judge granted her request to keep proceedings open.
Brinkley, 54, reportedly filed the motion at New York Supreme Court on Thursday, despite protests from architect Cook and their children's guardian Theresa Mari.
But Suffolk County Judge Mark Cohen approved Brinkley's request during a hearing on Friday, ruling that "open courtrooms, in general and in divorce actions, may provide a basis for societal education".
He added, "The required high burden of compelling reasons to close the courtroom has not been met."
However, Cook is disappointed with the decision.
His lawyer Norman Sheresky admits Cook is upset that Brinkley "has invited their children to attend the divorce trial".
But Brinkley has fired back at the criticism. Her attorney Robert Cohen says, "The reality is he put himself way in front of his children and his wife when he made the awful decision to destroy the marriage. The trial will get at the truth, which is very important to Christie."
The star adds, "I still remain hopeful that these matters can be resolved privately."
Brinkley filed for divorce from Cook in 2006, over his alleged affair with a then-18-year-old assistant.
According to Access Hollywood, among Brinkley's divorce allegations are claims that Cook trawled the internet for women and porn.
The former couple - who have kids Jack, 12, and Sailor, nine together - will head to trial in New York on 2 July.

Among the details of the divorce is the allegation Cook trawled the internet for women and porn, Access Hollywood claims.
Cook and a law-appointed guardian for the couple's two young children are thought to be fighting the request.
The divorce case heads to trial in New York on 2 July.

Unconfirmed reports originally published by the British tabloid The Star and in the U.S. by the National Enquirer that Paul Newman was dying of lung cancer received new impetus when writer A.E. Hotchner (Papa Hemingway, King of the Hill), a friend and business partner, was quoted by the Associated Press as saying that Newman told him 18 months ago that he was fighting "a form of cancer and he's dealing with it." Later, Hotchner maintained that the AP had misquoted him, telling Access Hollywood, "I saw him last week and he seemed fine. ... I have no knowledge of any diagnosis or doctors." The AP said that it stood by its story. Newman himself appeared to be treating the reports whimsically, repeating a comment he made last February when rumors originally arose that he was in failing health. His doctors, he said, have been treating him "for athlete's foot and hair loss."

The FBI is looking into the possibility that Larry Mendte, the former co-host of Access Hollywood and currently an anchor at KYW-TV Philadelphia, may have been implicated in the alleged hacking of his former co-anchor's computer and leaking her email messages to gossip columnists, the Associated Press reported today (Wednesday). Last week, the FBI reportedly raided Mendte's home and seized his computer. The Ap said that Alycia Lane, Mendte's former co-anchor, may have been targeted by Mendte because she had been receiving more publicity -- and more pay (reportedly $750,000 annually -- than he. Mendte has been temporarily suspended. In December, Lane was reportedly involved in a scuffle with a New York City policewoman that resulted in felony assault charges being brought against her. The following month she was terminated. (The assault charges were subsequently dropped, and Lane has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the station.) The arrest had been reported in the New York Post's "Page Six" gossip column as had an earlier report that Lane had sent photos of herself in a bikini to Nfl Network anchor Rich Eisen. She later explained that she and Eisen were longtime friends and that their relationship was purely platonic.

Now that the show is on hiatus in preparation for its third season, two of Ugly Betty’s cast members spoke up about other possible Ugly Betty ventures, and what’s to come in the third season of the show.
Recently, Michael Urie, who plays the flamboyant Marc St. James, spoke to Britain’s Heart Fm and talked about the possibility of a Broadway rendition of the highly successful dramedy.

Michael Lohan has denied confirming rumours his daughter Lindsay has embarked on a lesbian romance with Dj Samantha Ronson - insisting his words were "twisted and misrepresented".
Speculation has been growing that Lindsay is romantically linked with her female best friend Ronson after pictures of the pair holding hands and embracing emerged in the press.
And Michael Lohan was reported to have told Us Weekly magazine that the love affair was "evident to anyone with half a brain."
But Lohan has denied the comment was about the 22-year-old's relationship to Ronson - insisting he was actually referring to a matter involving his ex-wife Dina's new reality TV show.
He tells Access Hollywood, "I never said anything like that about Lindsay or a relationship with Samantha. I never looked at the pictures! I never looked at any derogatory pictures that were purportedly posted on the Internet, so how could I comment?
"It (the quote) was applied towards Lindsay. It was twisted and misrepresented. That's Lindsay's business. Lindsay can make her own life choices, that's between her and God."

New York party king and queen John Englebert and Suzie Wong have joined forced to offer embattled Lindsay Lohan a little aid in her ongoing fur coat fuss.
Englebert, who owns the Big Apple's Prime nightclub, and Saki Lounge boss Wong have offered to pay the actress' legal costs and buy her a brand new fur coat - as a thanks for partying at their establishments.

Englebert has offered to buy Lindsay a new $11,000 (GBP5,500) blonde mink coat, as well as settle the lawsuit against her.
A spokeswoman for the club boss says, "Lindsay has always been a fixture and a party girl in his establishments and John does not want her to catch a cold in this frigid start to the summer."
And Englebert tells American news show Access Hollywood, "I am offering to take Lindsay on a mink shopping spree with me, to have the coat of her choice. My motto has always been, `If the coat fits, buy it.'"
