Continuity: In the opening credits, a close-up of the bus that splashed Carrie shows that it was full of people. But as the bus rounds the corner, it is totally empty.

Sex And The City Theme

Cool, classy comedy.

Sex And The City is one of the comedies for the '90's, a slick, classy affair that's not afraid to push the boundaries to the limit. It's graphic (sort of) depiction of sex is ground-breaking, yet it doesn't forget it's main reason for being out there, to be funny. Thankfully, it succeeds.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are exemplary as Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. The supporting players (Chris Noth, etc.) are helpful and the plotlines are racy and hilarious.

A shame then that Sex And The City is pretty much reviled over here in the U.K. It got a big welcome when it premiered in Britain, but the first episode was a bit of a letdown. Therefore, no one ever watched it again when it got to the stage it is now, a great, great comedy. Still, that shouldn't deter people from it. It really is excellent.
