  • Was inspired by an unproduced episode of "The Larry Sanders Show" (1992) in which Janeane Garofalo's character had to look after a fashion model Larry was dating.

  • The character of Dennis Finch was added after the original pilot was rejected in favor of "Suddenly Susan" (1996). He replaced a far more flamboyant assistant named Connor.
