Saved by the bell was so popular they decided to do a spinoff and air in on primetime but it failed. It was Put up against Full house in the same time period which no doubt was a problem. Perhaps NBC didn't promo The College Years enough? Remember that saved by the bell aired on saturday mornings all 4 seasons and did well but you have to ask why'd they put The college years on primetime? Maybe The college years never would of got cancelled if it aired new episodes on saturday mornings.
