Parents Guide for
Scrooged (1988) More at IMDb Pro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

The "Solid Gold Dancers" are part of the Christmas Special and there is not very much to their costumes. Their dance moves can get suggestive and there is a whole scene discussing whether or not you can see the dancer's nipples.

Karen Allen is taking a bath - nothing is shown

Violence & Gore

Lew Hayward (the movie's Marley charcter) is a pretty realistic looking - rotting corpse.

There's a scene where terrorists are blasting their way into Santa's workshop with guns and bombs.

A character uses a shotgun to try to kill someone - blasting holes everywhere

Bill Murray gets kicked between the legs, slapped around, punched and hit in the face with a toaster

Profanity

A lot of mild profanity, sh**, bi***, G** d***

Someone uses Jesus' name as an exclamation

Someone calls an elderly man an "old f*rt"

Chiding someone not to be afraid, a character says "don't be a p**sy"

Many of the characters drink (or try to drink)

Bill Murray is seen drinking a lot

Reference to drugs and Karen Allen is holding a joint in one scene
