Jake Gyllenhaal up for Source Code

Jake Gyllenhaal is negotiating to star in the sci-fi thriller Source Code, which will be directed by Moon man Duncan Jones. The plot finds a soldier who finds himself waking up in the body of a commuter and must re-live a train bombing, Groundhog Day-style, until he figures out who is responsible. Gwyneth Paltrow joins The Danish Girl

Gwyneth Paltrow has agreed to join the cast of The Danish Girl, which Thomas Alfredson is directing. Nicole Kidman has been attached for a while to the tale of Einar Wegener, who became the world's first post-operative transsexual, and Greta, the wife who supported him. Kidman will play Einar both sides of the op and Paltrow is signed up to play Greta, a portrait painter who first experienced her husband's gender issues when he stepped in for a female model she was working with. Drawing on characters they dreamt up during their standup comedy days, Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence will play female thieves in Sheneneh And Wanda. Yes, apparently Foxx's career has ground to such a halt that he's ready to jump on the ladysuit bandwagon that Lawrence has ridden for years with the likes of the Big Momma's House movies. Robert Zemeckis pumped the Christmas spirit into Us moviegoers a few weeks early, as A Christmas Carol led the box office with $31 million. The new arrival moved Michael Jackson concert film This Is It down to second place with $14 million, but it's sill on track to become the top-earning music gig-based movie of all time.
