Amy Heckerling, who directed Brittany Murphy in 1995's 'Clueless,' says she is "shocked and angry" about the star's death on Sunday and doesn't understand why nobody was "watching out with what was going on with her." Heckerling tells Us Weekly that although she hadn't seen the actress in a year, there was talk about her behavior. "I can't say that I noticed anything that led me to believe, 'Oh my God, this person is messed up.' But one hears rumblings. It's a small town, and you hear from other people on other crews, but that's all rumors and stuff." She says it was around the time Murphy did '8 Mile' that she noticed her looking thinner.
