The trailer for unconventional Brit rom-com Dogging: A Love Story (yes, like Stan Collymore in a Range Rover, and yes, we were as surprised as you are) has been released, starring Luke Treadaway (soon to be swinging swords next year in Clash Of The Titans) and directed by newcomer Simon Ellis. It's a story as old as time: Geordie journo Dan (Treadaway) loses his girlfriend and can't get a job. Desperate for a big break in the cut-throat world of hackery, he does what we'd all do in his situation... and takes up dogging, joining online forums using the pseudonym "East Of England Eight Inches" hoping to expose the whole scene. In the course of his car park wanderings, he meets a fellow dogger (a doggette, if you will), called "Horny Geordie Lass" and, well, falls in love. As you do. It's not the first idea we'd have pitched to movie execs, »

Rumors are circling that Prince Harry is getting his own feature film. You know, Princess Di's second son, the third in line to the throne, the one who sports a red mop and chose the military over university. One might think the tender age of 25 is too young for a biopic, but I guess there's lots to tell when you're part of the Royal Family and happen to be the younger son of Princess Di.
The Daily Mail reports that director Peter Kosminsky (White Oleander) is gearing up to helm The Spare, a look into Prince Harry's young life, as penned by Jeremy Brock. The plan is to lay out Harry's experiences "from being trapped in a tragic fairytale to becoming a royal warrior, more at home on the field of battle with his men than in a palace." The script is scheduled to be done by the end of the year, »

Liam Neeson, 56, whose wife Natasha Richardson died last March 18, is set to begin work on a remake of Clash of the Titans. Neeson will play Zeus, the ancient Greeks’ top god (Zeus is akin to the Latin Deus, God), a role played by Laurence Olivier in the 1981 film. Louis Leterrier, of The Incredible Hulk, is set to direct the new version, which is scheduled to begin production in the United Kingdom later this month. Also in the new Clash of the Titans are Ralph Fiennes playing Hades, ruler of the underworld, Luke Treadaway (of Brothers of the Head), Mads Mikkelsen, Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, and Alexa Davalos. This will mark Neeson’s and Fiennes’ first film reunion since Schindler’s List back in 1993. Directed by Desmond Davis, the original Clash of the Titans featured stop-motion visual effects by Ray Harryhausen (who also co-produced the film), and starred Harry Hamlin and Judi Bowker. »

Have a question about gay male entertainment? Ask the Monkey! (Please include your city and state and/or country.)
Q: Archie comics were a guilty pleasure growing up — I mean, Betty and Veronica are awesome. The only thing is that there is almost no diversity in the characters. But I always wondered about Jughead, who had obvious gay tendencies. I also wondered if the creators would ever consider adding a gay character — after all, it is supposed to be the average American high school. — Evers, Delray Beach, Fl
A: Actually, Archie Comics, the publisher of the various Archie titles, has been pretty good at incorporating diversity into the fictional, all-American town of Riverdale. Over the years, they’ve shown increasing racial diversity, and from time to time they’ve even included disabled teens — a paralyzed teen once, and a blind one too.
In other words, it’s only diversity of »
