Remember that knife the cops found last week on Melrose Place? Well, according to the sneak peek above from Tuesday's all-new episode, Auggie's prints are all over it! Could our nearly departed Colin Egglesfield be playing the killer after all? The evidence says yes, but after watching this sneak peek, we're beginning to wonder about Katie Cassidy's conniving Ella. She's definitely up to something. And then there's ol' crazy eyes herself, Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz), who is, of course, named in the Melrose Place yearbook as Resident Most Likely to Be a Homicidal Maniac. We're getting closer to Heather Locklear's return to Melrose Place (check out some promo photos) on November 17. But first we have the November 10th episode (episode 1.09 "Ocean"). We've posted photos for it, but now we have two sneak peeks and a short promo video.
The Police Arrest Auggie For Murder
After learning Auggie’s (Colin Egglesfield) blood was on Sydney’s (Laura Leighton) murder weapon, the police search his apartment and demand the other residents tell them where he went. Riley (Jessica Lucas) is conflicted about whether to help the police, but Jonah (Michael Rady) pushes her to make the call as she knows where Auggie is staying.
Meanwhile, a work incident causes Jonah to pretend he’s engaged to Ella (Katie Cassidy) who really gets into the role playing. David (Shaun Sipos) arranges a secret play date with his little brother Noah (guest star Cameron Castaneda) but after the little boy hurts himself, »

Paging Heather Locklear: can you get to Melrose Place even earlier than November 17? The show really needs you.
Last night's episode, "Gower," highlighted a few of the show's weaker points and characters. Click on the title of the episode for a recap and read below for our expanded take on the installment...
Just fire them now: Like Grey's Anatomy, Melrose Place now has the problem of real-life events blurring on-camera plot developments. It was difficult enough to take any scene with Colin Egglesfield or Ashlee Simpson seriously before, due to their acting. Now that we know they're leaving the show? Any time spent on Auggie and Violet feels like a waste.
Just break-up already: How long will the show drag out the relationship between Jonah and Riley? The love birds were clearly doomed from the start, but a couple of kisses - followed by guilt-ridden reactions - is not »

We previously posted a short promo video of Heather Locklear's return to Melrose Place, which is scheduled for November 17. Now we have the complete set of promo photos, along with a synopsis (thanks to theCW). It looks like Amanda Woodward will be stirring up trouble right from the get-go. Exactly what this show needs. One question, did we already know that Amanda apparently owned the publicity agency that Ella works at?
The Bitch Is Back! Heather Locklear Returns As Amanda
Ella (Katie Cassidy) and Caleb (Victor Webster) are stunned when agency owner Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear) walks into Wpk and immediately fires half the staff, including Caleb.
Amanda makes it clear to Ella that the Anton V launch party with Riley (Jessica Lucas) better go off without a hitch or Ella can vacate her office too.
Meanwhile, Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) finally succumbs to Violet’s (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) flirtatious ways »

Hilary Swank’s Amelia just hit theatres and there is no doubt that people are already sporting aviator chic trends inspired by the historical figure Amelia Earhart herself. Melrose Place star Katie Cassidy shows off her take on the new trend as she exits La boutique Intuition. Katie’s “Miss Top Gun” aviator bomber is so legit that it even features vintage patches and a pin up girl lining. ($550 at Intuition). Now lucky for us, Intuition’s sister website Shop Intuition has some recession friendly alternatives. The Vintage inspired aviator jacket looks as if it was found in Amelia’... »

The first review for Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street redux is now alive and kicking. Good? Bad? It's both a little and a lot of both, if that makes any sense. Then again, in Krueger land ... does anything really make sense?
The Samuel Bayer directed remake stars Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Clancy Brown, and Connie Britton and focuses on a serial child molester murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burnt face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams.
Check out the first review over at AICN, and let us know what you think or have to add below. Let the speculation begin! Something tells us we're going to be in for a very long ride.

I will admit that I wasn't as big a fan of the original Melrose Place as I was of the original Beverly Hills 90210, but who doesn't get a little tingle running down their spine at the sight of Heather Locklear reprising her role as the deviliciously wicked Amanda Woodward?
TheCW has put out a short promo video of her return, along with some photos. It looks like she and Ella are going to clash. I can't wait! Tune in on November 17.

Oscar-nominated actor tells MTV News his Freddy Krueger is 'not much of a comedian.'
By Larry Carroll, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf

Don't believe that Freddy Krueger is one of the greatest icons of modern pop culture? Or that Wes Craven's 1984 horror film "A Nightmare on Elm Street" will be remembered far longer than many of that decade's Oscar winners? For proof, look no further than your own doorstep Saturday night — and all the scarred, razor-clawed, striped-sweater-wearing baddies you'll see begging for your Butterfingers.
Now, "Watchmen" star Jackie Earle Haley is stepping into the dreams of "Nightmare" fans worldwide, answering their call to succeed Robert Englund as the new Freddy. And the questions surrounding his April 2010 unveiling are as obvious as Freddy's hatred for teenagers: What will be different, and what will he keep the same?

Melrose Place is currently on hiatus until November 3, but we've already posted photos and a promo from that episode (1.08 "Gower"). Today, more information about two other episodes have been released. On November 10 episode 1.09 "Ocean" will air. TheCW has released a synopsis and promo photos for that episode. Thing aren't looking good for Auggie and Dr. Mancini returns.

This past week yielded some big news for the Melrose Place cast and some further explanations (warning: spoilers!). Now we will have until November 3 to let that information stew until we get a new episode. In episode 1.08, Sydney returns, as does Jenna Dewan's character. Plus, Ella's onto Lauren's dirty little secret. TheCW has released the promo, synopsis and some promo photos for the episode.

File this under the heading "Sometimes God and/or TV producers answer your prayers": Yesterday afternoon, I was working on a blog item about my not-so-secret obsession with the CW's frothy but low-rated Melrose Place and how the show would be a zillion times better if it got rid of Ashlee Simpson-RefluxWentz and the actor I affectionately refer to as Dude Who Plays Auggie (Dwpa). Then, shortly before sending it to my editor, my colleague Michael Ausiello broke the news that both actors were leaving the show. If I were a smart/superstitious person, I'd have dropped everything »

We got a blast from the past on Melrose Place last night and possibly a snippet of the future as well.
The Fashion Shoot From Hell
Despite Riley being pumped for her photo shoot, she has the jitters, but mostly because she feels bad for lying to her class about being sick. Really, Riley? Jonah, on the other hand, has a meeting with a big shot producer on the Paramount Studios lot, which he is surprisingly calm for on the outside. The couple is as happy as two Walt Disney characters in love, and even has birds building a nest outside their house. Boy, how much a day can change!
Auggie notices the nest building birds in the courtyard and Violet notices Auggie noticing the birds, but Riley steps outside and kills any game that Violet had planned for Auggie… And the crazy eyes come out. Watch out, Riley! Auggie and Riley talk, »

Lauren Conrad hit the red carpet alongside a bevy of beautiful ladies for the Lucky Magazine Fall Denim Tour at the Bar Marmont last night in La. Hollywood starlets from all over TV and film came out to celebrate the new line of denim, although for most of the atendees, short skirts were the dress code for the evening. Kristen Bell looked like the picture of health in her layered look, while Mandy Moore showed of yet another new hair transformation. Rachel Bilson traded in her casual wellies for worn-in black boots, striking a pose after walking the red carpet. Katie Cassidy joined the rest of the ladies as another new episode of Melrose Place aired - though it's still not as scandalous as 90210. Seven episodes in, we can conclusively say that Melrose Place gets more right than it gets wrong. Unfortunately, what is wrong with the show is often So Unbelievably Bad that it's 2-3 eye-rolling moments that end up sticking in your brain each week.
Let's start with the good things about last night:
Lauren and David. Holy chemistry! He offered to help her with her late tuition and she grew suspicious of where he gets his money, and busted him stealing. This led to a heated exchange that made us long for even more heat between them. Riley and Jonah. As Riley left in the morning for her modeling shoot and Jonah for his meeting at Paramount, expectations were high for the couple. They were not met. Watching these two balance their careers and love for each other is compelling. Ella. Despite her obvious disdain for Riley and her modeling gig, »

A whole lot of conflict moved into Melrose Place this week. Riley and Jonah were finally fighting; Lauren and David were going at it (no, not in the way we hoped), and old-time Melroser Jo Reynolds came back with her own brand of nastiness. Someone even destroyed that sparrows nest, the only sweet sign of nature in this whole apartment complex! Riley and Jonah started with their usual nauseating banter over breakfast -- "I don't need to see your name in the opening credits to know I'm marrying the perfect guy," Riley swooned, as she headed off to her modeling »

Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were hard at work on the set of Inception in La yesterday, though this time they skipped out on the formal wear. When he's not shooting, Leo has been keeping his social life typically busy. He was reportedly spotted hitting the dance floor with Melrose Place's Katie Cassidy as rumors simultaneously circulated - and were quickly denied - that he might be involved with Whitney Port. Whoever he's getting cozy with, Leo's not lacking for companionship whether it's a bevy of bombshells or a furry friend. View 10 Photos › For more photos from the set just read more.
