Those included as the nominees of the 36th Annual Daytime Emmys have been announced. Noticeably missing from the list is "The View" and 'Daytime's Leading Lady' Susan Lucci. But the former indeed pockets a nod for its host ensemble in the category of Talk Show Host.

Plump with two nominations under their belts are "Rachael Ray", "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Live with Regis and Kelly". All three of them compete against each other under the category of Talk Show/Entertainment and their hosts are in the run for Talk Show Host along with "The View" ladies Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd, and Barbara Walters.

The lifetime achievement award meanwhile, goes to PBS' "Sesame Street" for its 40 years of educating and entertaining children.

Overall PBS is the front runner with 56 nods, ahead of ABC with 50, syndicated programming with 49, CBS with 30 and NBC with 20.

In a world of television programs now overrun with reality series, CBS is giving viewers yet another to watch. The latest is a series that will see average Americans competing in intense strength competitions.

"America's Strongest American" will begin shooting a one-hour pilot in Las Vegas over the weekend. Unlike other series where professional weightlifters and muscle men compete, this series will see more average Americans competing in more realistic challenges to gain the title of "Strongest American."

The new reality series will be produced by Michael Davies ("Who Wants to Be a Millionaire"), along with Barry Frank. Ben Bailey of "Cash Cab" will host the show, along with Michelle Merkin of "Celebrity Drive-By."

The new series joins a slew of other reality series programs being developed by CBS, including one on arranged marriages, a crazy car obstacle course and a missing person's investigation show.
