Have a question about gay male entertainment? Ask the Monkey! (Please include your city and state and/or country.)
Q: I`m a huge fan of Futurama. I looked up Billy West, who does the voice of Fry and others on the show, and found out he had been in two animated gay series, Rick & Steve the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World and Queer Duck. He’s straight, right? Is there anything else gay about him and his career? – Terry, Sydney, Australia
A: West is indeed the go-to guy for animated voices, with an impressive resume that includes everything from the movie Space Jam (1996) (where he proved to be one of very few people who can effectively imitate the classic voices of Mel Blanc) to, yes, Bi-Polar Bear on Queer Duck (2006).
The voice of Futurama’s Fry is the closest to his “real” voice. And on Rick & Steve, »

To college students graduating into the nightmare of the current job market, the floating, companionable uncertainty of "Adventureland" must look very agreeable. Greg Mottola's gentle comedy is set mostly in a Pittsburgh amusement park during the summer of 1987. The hero, James (Jesse Eisenberg), was expecting to spend the season traveling around Europe. But money troubles at home make it impossible for his parents (hangdog Jack Gilpin and Wendie Malick, with her bruised brightness) to finance the trip they've promised him. Even his place at Columbia Journalism School in the fall is uncertain.
Mottola, whose last film was the mostly marvelous teen comedy "Superbad," has a knack for capturing the way time stretches out in post-college limbo, and for the camaraderie to be found in lousy summer jobs, the sense that you and your coworkers are all in this bitch together. James befriends Joel (Martin Starr), a lanky, awkward student »

The Big Apple has hosted the world premiere of "Confessions of a Shopaholic". On Thursday, February 5, Walt Disney Pictures rolled down red carpet in front of the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City to welcome stars for the special screening event of their upcoming romantic comedy about a fashionista financial columnist whose shopping addiction has put her in major debts.

Some of the cast members even made time to answer questions from the press. While Hugh Dancy spoke of the cold temperature, leading actress Isla Fisher who was dressed in a green beaded dress by Matthew Williamson recalled her crazy ways of making cold cash. "I »
