5 November 2009 11:19 PM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Most of Disney's animations are famed for their everlasting songs, and with "The Princess and the Frog" fast approaching its theatrical release, the mouse house prepares a special featurette highlighting on the music of the new animation. The featurette provides sneak peek at some of the songs listed in the soundtrack with guidance from star Anika Noni Rose.

In the promo video, Rose first talked about her character Tiana and her other favorite character from the film, the lovesick Cajun firefly named Ray. As she discussed about the music, Keith David's track "Friends on the Other Side" and Jenifer Lewis' "Dig a Little Deeper" get a brief preview. The actress later went on explaining what makes her "Almost There" song a unique one.

To arrive in U.S. stores on November 23, the soundtrack of "The Princess and the Frog" consists of 10 original songs and 7 original scores. Most of »

Howard Denies Romance With Henson

4 November 2009 11:11 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Terrence Howard has dismissed rumours he's dating actress Taraji P. Henson - insisting he's been friends with the star too long to consider a romantic relationship with her.

The pair wowed U.S. TV audiences with their chemistry as the hosts of Tuesday night's night's Soul Train Music Awards.

However Howard insists he's not looking for more than a business relationship with the Oscar-nominated actress.

He tells Usmagazine.com, "I've known her too long. She knows what I'm thinking."

Henson has previously dated Khloe Kardashian's now-husband, American basketball star Lamar Odom, has a son from a previous relationship, and also insists Howard isn't her newest beau. She echoes: "We're not dating." »

Iron Man 2 War Machine Updates

4 November 2009 10:31 AM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Checking back in with next summer’s most anticipated movie, Iron Man 2, we have some new updates about War Machine, the armored battle suit worn by Jim “Rhodey” Rhodes, who will be played by Don Cheadle in the sequel, taking over the role from Iron Man’s Terrence Howard.

The first update comes from Cheadle himself, talking about his performance as Rhodey/War Machine armor and hinting at how much screen time the actual armor will get. The second update comes our way via Sam Rockwell, who stars as Iron Man 2’s evil mastermind industrialist Justin Hammer, the man who (we now know) will be responsible for creating the War Machine armor and sticking Rhodey in the cockpit.

Both of these updates come our way via MTV Splash Page, who have been diligent about keeping up on all things Iron Man 2.

Don Cheadle Offers 'Iron Man 2' War Machine Update

2 November 2009 7:46 AM, PST | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

Playing a superhero is never easy—especially when somebody else has played the role first. Such was the dilemma for actor Don Cheadle, who takes over the role of James "Rhodey" Rhodes from Terrence Howard in next summer's "Iron Man 2." In addition to replacing Howard, Cheadle also gets to don the War Machine armor, something that Howard was never able to achieve.

In an interview with Moviefone, Cheadle admitted to some awkwardness surrounding the takeover due to his friendship with Howard—but the discomfort didn't last too long.

"Terrence is a friend of mine," said Cheadle. "But the actual playing it, I just felt like it was my role. I wasn't made to feel like I had to sort of take care of what was done before. I really feel like I could make it my own."

Beyond Baseball

1 November 2009 11:59 AM, PST | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Saturday night's World Series game was one for the record books for many reasons, but mostly because of those "priceless" thirty seconds in the second inning. No, I'm not talking about Jayson Werth's homer, I am referring to something that is, dare I say, more important than what happens inside the diamond or who prevails as a champion. MasterCard generously turned over its beloved "Priceless" campaign to Stand Up To Cancer for what became a powerful 30 second call-to-action to fund innovative cancer research. Part of the spot aired live from Citizens Bank Park and featured cancer advocate and Stand Up To Cancer champion, Katie Couric, actors Terrence Howard and Minka Kelly (both of whom lost their mothers to cancer), and former Philly first baseman and cancer survivor John Kruk standing alongside brave patients from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia... »

News Flash: Channing Tatum to Star in Dito Montiel's Newest Movie & Nominated for People's Choice Award

24 October 2009 11:54 AM, PDT | Channing Tatum Unwrapped | See recent Channing Tatum Unwrapped news »

In case you all missed the tweet on Channing Tatum's official Twitter, Production Weekly just confirmed that Chan will be starring in yet another Dito Montiel film very soon.

First there was 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints', then 'Fighting', then 'Brotherhood of the Rose', and now we have 'Son of No One'. All written and directed by Dito Montiel and all starring Channing Tatum.

I think Chan may have mentioned this film when he was doing press for 'Fighting' in April, but there's not a lot of details out there for it yet. What we do know is that Chan will be acting along side his 'Fighting' co-star Terrence Howard, James Gandolfini from "The Sopranos" and Robert De Niro from more movies than I could ever list here and who coincidentally also executive produced Chan's 2009 historical drama 'Public Enemies'. »

Rick James Biopic Coming To Life As A Feature Film, Will It Star Terrence Howard?

21 October 2009 1:30 AM, PDT | The Humor Mill | See recent The Humor Mill news »

Today we discovered that another biopic is in the works as a feature film, and this time the film will be about R&B icon, Rick James. As we all know, James was an extremely popular R&B and funk singer in the late 1970s and 1980s, scoring four #1 hits on the U.S. R&B charts. Among his best-known songs are "Superfreak" and "You and I".

In addition to his music, he gained notoriety for his wild lifestyle: later in life, James' drug abuse led to widely publicized legal problems.

All of this is said to be documented in the upcoming film, and we discovered this news from James' daughter Ty James.

We even heard that there are discussions with actor Terrence Howard (of Hustle & Flow fame) to play the lead role but nothing has been finalized yet. For more information about the film check back here as we »

Tatum, De Niro, Howard and Gandolfini Set for Montiel's 'Son of No One'

20 October 2009 | ioncinema | See recent ioncinema news »

- I guess this means that The Brotherhood of the Rose is on ice. Dito Montiel is instead pegging Son of No One as his next project, his third film following 2006's A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and this year's Fighting (you'd have to pay me to watch that one). This would mark the third time that Dito works with Channing Tatum (safe to say they're friends) and a second straight project with Terence Howard. Also attached are a pair of actors synonymous with "the streets" are Robert De Niro and James Gandolfini. Production is expected to begin in January. The thriller is about a young cop who is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, and an old secret threatens to destroy his life and his family. Sounds very James Gray if you ask me.... »

Sometimes, when you wish upon a star you get a really gorgeous movie in return. The movie is set in New Orleans and features Disney’s first black princess, Tiana (voiced by Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose).

The musical is done in lush hand-drawn 2-D in the tradition of Disney’s other classic princess films like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. Some of the animation in the clip is unfinished, but it sets the mood right away. Take a look:

Based on the fairy tale by the same name, it follows Tiana as she encounters a frog purporting to be a prince who asks for a kiss to break the amphibious spell. The previously released trailer reveals a key plot point. But instead »
