A Naked 'Twilight' Actress's New Moon And 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' In Today's Twitter-Wood

13 hours ago | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

When "Twilight" cast members began tweeting about subjects involving missing clothing, I definitely did not expect to log on to Twitter today and find out that Christian Serratos decided to outdo all of them, but but her new garment-less PETA ad definitely succeeded.

Dane Cook and Ice-t, meanwhile, were less focused on saving fur and more intent on playing "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" this weekend, according to their posts, and at least one of them found himself in possession of some nightvision goggles. Check all of that out after the jump along with Danny Masterson's criticism for Andre Agassi, "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich's favorite childhood toy and much more. I'm @brianwarmoth and this is the Twitter-Wood report for November 9, 2009.

This Week on Stage: 'The Understudy,' 'Idiot Savant,' and 'Nightingale'

7 November 2009 5:00 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

This week saw the too-rapid close of the Neil Simon revival Brighton Beach Memoirs on Broadway, as well as the opening of three Off Broadway productions: The Understudy, starring Justin Kirk, Julie White, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (above); Idiot Savant with Willem Dafoe; and Nightingale with Lynn Redgrave. Melissa Bernardo gave a B+ to The Understudy but dinged it for the cast's somewhat mixed on-stage chemistry. Thom Geier calls Idiot Savant "one strange, head-scratching evening" and gives it a C+. As for Lynn Redgrave's one-woman show, Nightingale, I gave it a C and took issue with the production because "the »

A 'Twilight' Actor As Sid Vicious, The World Series And Gwen Stefani In Today's Twitter-Wood

2 November 2009 4:00 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Halloween tweets were way more interesting this morning since everyone was posting actual photos instead of just being indecisive about what to wear. "Twilight" star Billy Burke took the crown for most authentic, though, with his Sid Vicious outfit. He pretty much nailed the Sex Pistols' late bassist.

"Toy Story 3" director, Lee Unkrich, meanwhile retweeted a few incoming photos he received of well crafted character costumes. Gwen Stefani stood out from the pack in that batch, doing Woody's gal pal Jessie from "Toy Story 2." Then there was Fred Durst, who appears to have put a leg up on December, posting a shot of the Christmas tree he just set up in his living room. Check out all of those, as well as reactions from the World Series, Rob Zombie and John Stamos. They're all waiting after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for November 2, 2009.

This week on stage: 'Brighton Beach Memoirs' and 'Finian's Rainbow'

30 October 2009 11:00 AM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

This week saw the opening of two new Broadway productions, both revivals: The Neil Simon Plays: Brighton Beach Memoirs, a comedy-drama starring former Roseanne star Laurie Metcalf (left), which I described as "a fine revival, easily the best show of a young Broadway season," and the musical Finian's Rainbow, which Tanner Stransky called "an odd, farcical muscial" that is "well cast and smartly performed." Demi Moore And John Stamos Look Young, Hilarious In Today's Daily TwitPic

26 October 2009 6:00 AM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Our old Daily TwitPic pal John Stamos is back today. He's been absent for the past few weeks, it's true. A guy like Stamos is never truly gone though; Jesse Katsopolis will always, always be there, whether he likes it or not.

The pic you'll find after the jump is a blast from the past. I'm not too up on my celebrity power couples, but Stamos used to date actress Demi Moore if the Internet is to be believed. Moore is currently married to Ashton Kutcher while Stamos continues to enjoy a bachelor's life after his 2005 divorce, but one would imagine they're still close if Stamos is posting pics like this. And his tweeted message, to "enjoy today," is one we could all stand to take to heart. See the sepia-toned old days of Stamos and Moore after the jump.

Soupy Sales, Christian Serratos Proclaims 'Eclipse' Wrap And Twitter On Xbox In Today's Twitter-Wood

23 October 2009 4:00 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

The "last day on the battlefield" that David Slade tweeted about must have ended well, since Christian Serratos tweeted triumphantly that "Eclipse" filming wrapped in Vancouver yesterday. Elsewhere, he co-star Jodelle Ferland struggled with her Twitter icon after accidentally covering up her face with a lemon. Such have been the trials and tribulations in the Twitter world of "Twilight."

Miranda Cosgrove, meanwhile, didn't seem to be struggling with the new pair of glasses she TwitPic'd a look at for her followers to evaluate. Nor did Felicia Day seem to have any trouble with her new Twitter functionality on Xbox Live, which she appears to have installed. Check all of those out, along with some Soupy Sales memorial headlines, Paris Hilton's Hello Kitty diamonds and Emmy Rossum's call for Halloween costume ideas. They're all waiting after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for October 23, 2009.

'Eclipse' In The Mountains, 'Borderlands' And Amanda Bynes Wants Marriage In Today's Twitter-Wood

22 October 2009 3:30 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

David Slade's still in the thick of "Eclipse" filming, and in his most recent tweetage from the set, it sounds like there's some violence in the mountains getting underway with some celebration on the side. A few of his cast members still seem to have Rome on their minds, which is understandable given the "New Moon" footage premiering there.

In completely non-"Twilight"-related posting, Ashton Kutcher's been hanging out with Barbra Streisand and Jeremy Piven headed out to an event being held by Matt Damon in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Ice-t's been shooting up the post-apocalyptic world of "Borderlands." To find out what he thoughts of it, as well as what Amanda Bynes thinks of marriage and what Arnold Schwarzenegger's been up to with a bunch of boy scouts, click onward to the Twitter-Wood report for October 22, 2009.

John Stamos has admitted he went on Australian TV drunk.

The 46-year-old 'ER' actor made an infamous appearance on talk show 'Mornings with Kerri-Anne' in 2007, and stunned viewers by reading presenter Kerri-Anne Kennerley's lines and making rude gestures.

He was told to blame the incident on jet lag.

John revealed to The Advocate magazine: "When I went on that morning show, I was drunk. Yes, I was on sleeping pills and I was jet-lagged, but I was also just plastered. And I never said I wasn't, but that whole publicity machine got involved and said, 'Just say he was jet-lagged.' I said, 'No, tell them the truth! I was f***ing drunk in Australia. Big deal.' "

John also spoke about reality TV, claiming he will not appear on shows such as talent contest 'Dancing with the Stars' in the foreseeable future.

Stamos: 'I Was Drunk For TV Interview'

18 October 2009 6:36 PM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

John Stamos has laughed off a now-infamous Australian interview, admitting he was drunk for the entire chat.

The star hit the headlines in 2007 after he appeared on the Mornings With Kerri-Anne talk show to promote ER, but stunned viewers by wandering around the set and slurring his words.

A spokesperson claimed Stamos was having difficulty adjusting to the time difference Down Under, but he insists his bizarre behaviour was actually the result of sleeping pills and alcohol he downed before the show.

He tells The Advocate, "I'll be honest: When I went on that morning show, I was drunk. Yes, I was on sleeping pills and I was jet-lagged, but I was also just plastered (drunk). And I never said I wasn't, but that whole Warner Bros. publicity machine got involved and said, 'Just say he was jet-lagged.' I said, 'No, tell 'em the truth! I was f**king drunk in Australia. Big deal.'"

And the actor admits the broadcast got him in hot water with an angry Australian reporter, who he accused of having "a small penis" while on air.

He adds, "I was mad at that guy because he put on a video from our (previous) interview, when it was early in the morning and I was dozing off, and he made it seem like I was on drugs, which was not true. My mother saw that and got really upset. So when I went on that talk show (Mornings With Kerri-Anne) the next day, I made fun of the guy by saying he had a small penis. He tried to sue me for that, you know. I said, 'The only way he's going to prove me wrong is to whip his d**k out in court,' so the lawsuit went away." »

Bye Bye Birdie Loses Its Wings

16 October 2009 9:06 AM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

The Broadway revival of musical Bye Bye Birdie has been panned by New York's theatre critics - who have dubbed the John Stamos and Gina Gershon-starring show "boneheaded".

The musical was a huge hit in New York in the 1960s, starring Dick Van Dyke in the lead role - but the new adaptation could be shortlived after a savage reception to Thursday's opening night.

Stamos and Gershon were singled out for particular criticism from the New York Daily News, whose reviewer called them "surprisingly robotic".

The New York Post's Elisabeth Vincentelli added the pair "both look half-paralyzed by stress. Stamos' face is frozen in a strained mask...and Gershon... is at sea as the feisty Rose Alvarez."

New York Times reviewer Ben Brantley, meanwhile, predicted the show will turn audiences off, adding, "Theatergoers may feel an empathetic urge to rush home and bury their heads in their pillows."

Bye Bye Birdie is scheduled to run at the Henry Millers Theatre through to January. »

Full House: Bob Saget Rescues John Stamos on Broadway

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are all grown up and the Tanners have been off the air for almost 15 years but the cast of Full House are still pretty tight. Bob Saget proved he still has John Stamos' back the other night when a backstage malfunction left "Uncle Jessie" stranded on stage.Wednesday night was the last preview performance of the Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie. Stamos, who seems born to play the Elvis-like Conrad Birdie role, is actually playing weak-willed agent Albert Peterson, the lead in the musical. The performance was well attended and the audience included stand-up legend Don Rickles and Full House castmate Saget. »

Don Rickles And Bob Saget Join John Stamos After 'Bye Bye Birdie' Meltdown

16 October 2009 6:00 AM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Fun times. Earlier this week, the Broadway production of "Bye Bye Birdie" staged its final preview performance. At some point during the show, an electrical malfunction occurred, preventing the sets from changing between scenes. So star John Stamos, a regular contributor to our Twitter-Wood feed, came out onto the stage to stall for time, appealing to his celeb pals in the viewing audience, EW reports.

One of them, legendary comedian and "Toy Story" star (he's Mr. Potato Head) Don Rickles, called for Stamos to get a haircut. The former "Full House" star was then joined on stage by his old pal, filthy comedian Bob Saget, who noted that he was relieved Stamos' forehead was miked, not his crotch. The show resumed after 20 minutes, but not before "Birdie" stars Gina Gershon and Bill Irwin joined the duo for additional onstage antics.

Hit the jump for an awesome picture of Don Rickles being awesome. »
