Alec Baldwin Wants to Marry a Very Rich Woman

4 hours ago | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

Alec Baldwin, divorced in 2002 after his nine years of marriage with Kim Basinger, told Entertainment Weekly that he would like to marry again and thinks about giving marriage a second chance. However, during his different interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer on September, 51-year-old Baldwin admitted that the divorce was hard for him.

The winner of 2009 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series through his role in "30 Rock", recalled, "I don't mean to glib. But the title really is perfect. It is complicated. I had a pretty tough divorce myself." He continued, "So sometime I sit there and I go, 'Well, should I have worked it out? Maybe I should have tried harder'."

Baldwin added, "People say, 'It's also what you teach your children about their love lives. That's a big thing for me, to teach my daughter: No risk, no reward. I want her to realize that it's a roll of the dice. »

Alec Baldwin: I Have A Great Ass, I'd Love To Remarry

Alec Baldwin appears on the cover of the new holiday movie preview issue of Entertainment Weekly, promoting his upcoming romantic comedy 'It's Complicated' with costar Meryl Streep. Baldwin, who messily split from Kim Basinger, his wife of eight years, in 2001, talks about his own complicated love life and taking his clothes off for the movie. On his nude scene: "[That was] my ass double! You can put that in Entertainment Weekly so people know. I have a great ass, if I may say so. That's a part of my body that needs no surgical enhancement or rearranging." On teaching daughter Ireland about love and loss: "I had a pretty tough divorce myself, so sometimes I sit there and I go, 'Well, should I have worked it out? Maybe I should have tried harder.' Alec Baldwin wants cosmetic surgery (IrishCentral)

6 November 2009 6:52 AM, PST | IrishCentral | See recent IrishCentral news »

“30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin says he is interested in getting cosmetic surgery. The 51-year-old Irish-American actor is considering going under the knife because he is unhappy with the effect the ageing process is having on his looks. Speaking about surgically-altering his appearance, Baldwin said: "I'm not saying I wouldn't do something! I intend to do something. I probably will. “Let's put it this way, I wouldn't rule it out because...You don't think I wake up every day and wish I looked like this and this and this? But I can't let that bother me." But Baldwin, who had a butt double for his new movie “It’s Complicated,” is happy with some parts of his body. "I have a great ass, if I may say so,” he said. “That's a part of my body that needs no surgical enhancement or rearranging." The actor, who split from his actress wife »

Lil Wayne's Ice Cream Cake Job

30 October 2009 9:46 AM, PDT | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

When I was a kid, my mom would make birthday cakes that looked like trains, or zoo cages. One time there was a really, really scary clown. There are psychic scars, to be sure, but they're likely nothing compared to poor Ireland Basinger-Baldwin, 14, daughter of battling ex's Kim Basinger and Alex Baldwin.

The teen — who, you might recall, was on the wrong end of a really nasty voicemail from her pops two years ago — reportedly got a frighteningly accurate specialty birthday cake last week in the shape of Lil Wayne's head, complete with licorice dreads, chocolate sunglasses and iced out icing grill. We have no idea if this story is true (since the image from Los Angeles ace cake shop Rosebud Cakes has since been removed from its Flickr account), but any way you slice it, that is the most Wtf?-tastic cake we've ever seen.

Congratulations Kim and Alex, »

Uma Thurman to play a Milf in ‘Ceremony’

1 October 2009 8:30 AM, PDT | ReelLoop.com | See recent Reel Loop news »

Who says Uma Thurman can’t be funny?

Thurman, who just wrapped up playing Medusa in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, has joined the cast of Ceremony, a romantic comedy from Nala Films. She will play a Milf (sigh) on the verge of holy matrimony but is courted by a younger man (Michael Angarano).

Ceremony is written and directed by Max Winkler (The Adventurer’s Handbook) with production to begin in late October in Long Island.

Nala Films just completed the Julianne Moore-Jonathan Rhys Meyers supernatural thriller, Shelter, from directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein.

Steven Soderbergh talks casting an American Gladiator in ‘Knockout’

30 September 2009 11:17 AM, PDT | ReelLoop.com | See recent Reel Loop news »

Mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano is the kind of gal you’d like to meet. Smart (I’m assuming), sexy (clearly not assuming) and has the ability to defend you against attackers, Carano looks like she should be in movies.

“My feeling was, If I don’t do this, somebody else will,” said Steven Soderbergh in an interview with Empire Magazine. “I felt, somebody is going to look at her and go, ‘She should be in a movie!’ And I felt like, Why shouldn’t I be the person saying that?”

Soderbergh is directing Knockout, a spy thriller featuring the Mma fighter in the lead role. “If you start following the female Mma fighters, Gina pops out pretty noticeably,” the Oscar-winning director said. “I thought it was a fascinating combination of appearance and activity… I’d been wanting to make a spy action film for a while, but hadn »

Megan Fox to Pose for Playboy?

30 September 2009 8:12 AM, PDT | PopStar | See recent PopStar news »

Hugh Hefner has had his share of Hollywood actresses pose for Playboy including Kim Basinger, Drew Barrymore, and Heidi Montag, just to name a few. There never seems to be a shortage of beauties willing to grace the pages of his magazine. Hefner has even invited young Hollywood starlet Miley Cyrus to pose nude once she turns 18, calling her a "very pretty lady" and saying "she'd be welcomed in the magazine." And of course there's still those celebrities that have yet to pose but who he would be very pleased to accept - including Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson. But now his eye is on Megan Fox, and he wants the raven 24-year-old beauty to bare all. Fox has seen her popularity skyrocket since the Transformers movies and, just recently, Jennifer's Body. She's already gone topless for the latter, making boys everywhere swoon, so why not go all the way? »

Indie Spotlight: New Releases for Sept. 18

18 September 2009 4:15 PM, PDT | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

Here's a quick look at what's opening in limited release this weekend. If they're not playing where you live, keep an eye out as they make the rounds. And if all else fails, there's always DVD....

Bright Star(pictured) comes from writer/director Jane Campion, best known for her Oscar-winning screenplay for The Piano. (She got a director nomination for that, too.) Bright Star tells the true story of 19th-century romance between poet John Keats and one Fanny Brawne, played by Ben Whishaw and Abbie Cornish. It has an 87% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes. It's playing on about 20 screens in New York, L.A., San Francisco, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Dallas.

The Burning Plain is the feature directorial debut by Guillermo Arriaga, who wrote Babel, 21 Grams, and Amores Perros. Once again he favors the fractured timeline and multiple stories; however, this time the result isn't being met with much praise. Only »

Exclusive Video: Charlize Theron Discusses Her Role in The Burning Plain

18 September 2009 12:47 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Charlize Theron began her career as just another pretty face in movies like 2 Days In The Valley and The Cider House Rules, but it was her star-turning role in the Academy Award winning film, Monster that earned her not only an Oscar but also the respect of her critics and peers alike. She followed that up with a strong performance in the film In the Valley of Elah and another Oscar nomination for her work in North Country. Now, the acclaimed actress is back again with a gritty, realistic and heart-shattering performance in Guillermo Arriaga's directorial debut, "The Burning Plain. I had the opportunity to speak exclusively with Charlize Theron about her powerful new performance in the film, which opens on September 18th.

Charlize Theron in "The Burning Plain"

I think everybody likes a good Wtf movie — remember "Memento"? But director Guillermo Arriaga, who specializes in this sort of thing as a screenwriter ("Babel," "21 Grams"), has scrambled the narrative of "The Burning Plain," his first feature, to no very interesting purpose. It's a beautifully made film, with a couple of arresting performances; but it's so solemn it almost puts itself to sleep, and so pointlessly disjointed you kind of wish it would take a nap.

There's a nice tingle of inscrutability right at the beginning, when we meet Sylvia (Charlize Theron), the manager of a sleek cliff-top restaurant on the Oregon coast. Sylvia is clearly dragging around a heavy burden of woe, which she attempts to lighten by sleeping with any man who comes within hailing distance, and occasionally by gouging her thigh with jagged stones. »

Review: The Burning Plain

17 September 2009 9:55 AM, PDT | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

The time shifting interwoven character drama, in which multiple discordant storylines merge into a coherent whole, is the primary characteristic of the films of Alejandro González Iñárritu and longtime collaborator Guillermo Arriaga. Together, the men perfected the form in Amores Perros and 21 Grams. Its potency waned in Babel, the film that appears to have irreparably fractured their relationship. With The Burning Plain the form can be pronounced to be, if not officially dead, on its last bit of life support. What once seemed like a fresh and exciting method of storytelling, an offshoot of a mode popularized by Robert Altman and others, has become impossibly trite. Written and directed by Arriaga, the film cuts back and forth over more than a decade, weaves its way through two concrete settings and winds up at a place heavy on symbolism and melodrama but empty on ideas. Charlize Theron stars as Sylvia, proprietor of a high-end Portland restaurant and a »

Charlize Theron Answers Some Burning Questions

17 September 2009 7:01 AM, PDT | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

When so many other Hollywood actresses are doing everything possible to look good, Charlize Theron seems determined to buck the trend by playing more rough-around-the-edges female roles. Her turn as the decidedly unattractive serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster shocked audiences but earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress. She followed up that role by playing a victim of sexual harassment in North Country, which also earned her an Oscar nomination. Theron is once again set to play an unglamorous role in The Burning Plain.

Directed by Guillermo Arriaga, the award-winning writer of Babel, 21 Grams, and Amores Perros, The Burning Plain is a non-linear tale in which Theron plays a sexually promiscuous, suicidal character who is forced to confront the sins of her past. While it sounds like playing a character with such heavy baggage would weigh an actor down emotionally, Theron says that it's just a job.

Edward Norton Straightens Up 'Iron Man 2' Cameo Rumor

15 September 2009 7:24 PM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Edward Norton has shared his insight on flying rumors that Hulk could be making a cameo in "Iron Man 2". When MTV News caught up with him at the Toronto International Film Festival,

the depicter of the green raging superhero in 2008's "The Incredible Hulk" put the brake on the speculation.

"I heard that. I don't know where that's coming from," the two-time Academy Award-nominee responded when presented with the cameo rumor. Addressing the truth of the circulating story, the actor who is in town to promote his new movie "Leaves of Grass" said simply, "I am not in 'Iron Man 2' to my knowledge."

Hulk's cameo aside, this sequel of blockbuster "Iron Man" was previously hit with a 3-D rumor. In early September, Ain't It Cool News reported that a minute of the superhero sequel is being converted to 3-D as a demo. "Right now, there is a 1 minute »

Megan Fox And Matt Damon Headline Big Releases In This Week's Box Office Poll

14 September 2009 1:00 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Before diving in with the coming week's releases, let's take a quick look at last week's. I think the poll results usually paint a pretty telling picture of who is reading this blog. The weekend's big box office winner, Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself," failed to pick up a single vote in the poll. "Sorority Row" took top spot in the poll (70% of your votes), followed in a distant second by "Whiteout" and "9," which were basically tied, at 15% and 13% respectively.

My takeaway is that you readers are on the younger side -- ie below 30, or at least not yet parents -- and that you prefer spectacle to schmaltz. That's definitely an overly broad generalization, but I do find the fact the weekend's biggest earner, by quite a wide margin I might add, didn't even pick up one vote in last week's poll. Now, let's take »

Superman Producer Accused of Drugs, Tax Fraud and Sexual Harassment

4 September 2009 1:00 PM, PDT | WorstPreviews.com | See recent Worst Previews news »

Back in December, a Hollywood producer filed accusations against another producer that involved the most bizarre and unbelievable things imaginable. Brian Quintana (Superman Returns) accused Jon Peters (Caddyshack, Rain Man, Batman, Superman Returns) of owing him over $500,000, perjury, the forgery of signatures, the procurement of illegal drugs, continuous and pervasive sexual harassment, tax fraud, and the cover up of the statutory rape of Peters' daughter. The battle between the producers intensified in August when Peters was giving a deposition for a sexual harassment lawsuit and ended up turning to Quintana to say: "I am going to cross this table and beat the f*cking sh*t out of you. I am going to kick your ass." Peters then lunged at Quintana, only to be restrained. Peters' lawyer defended his client's outrageous courtroom behavior by saying that Peters "lost his temper" at the deposition because Quintana was throwing kisses at him. »

Jon Favreau on Possibility of 'Iron Man 2' 3-D

While recent report suggested that "Iron Man 2" is being considered to be converted into Digital 3-D, director Jon Favreau has said that it is unlikely to see this "Iron Man" in the 3-D format. Hot on the heels of the 3-D speculation, MTV has brought up into attention the filmmaker's previous comment on the matter.

"I talked to Marvel after I'd seen [Cameron's footage] about doing 'Iron Man [2]' in 3-D," the director stated. "I was hoping to get a shot at doing it this time around, but it didn't work out that way." He added, "There are a few drawbacks to it at this point - there's more cost involved, and it also forces you to shoot digitally."

"My cinematographer [Matthew Libatique] really likes film, and 'Iron Man' had a certain look because it was film," Favreau furthermore elaborated. Although putting off hopes of 3-D treatment, he left open »
