IMDb MOVIE OF THE DAY

A traveling folksinger with a fiercely conservative agenda? Sounds
unlikely, but that's the premise behind Tim Robbins's incisive political
satire _Bob Roberts_. The mockumentary follows a guitar-strumming,
welfare-hating U.S. senatorial candidate out onto the campaign trail. As
he charms the public and manipulates the media, we're treated to an
entertaining spoof on the modern political landscape. Watch for cameos
from Susan Sarandon, Peter Gallagher, John Cusack, and other famous
folk.
